Thanh Hoa forecasts heavy rain in the coming days

According to information from Thanh Hoa Hydrometeorological Station, from the evening and night of June 24 to June 26, the mainland and sea areas of Thanh Hoa province will have moderate rain, some places will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, it is necessary to be on guard against tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The total rainfall is commonly from 40 - 80mm, some places over 80mm.

At noon and early afternoon on June 24, there was moderate rain and heavy rain in some places in Thanh Hoa city.

Heavy rain can cause flash floods in mountainous areas, landslides on steep slopes, flooding in low-lying areas, whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts of wind, affecting agricultural production, breaking trees, damaging houses, traffic works and infrastructure.

All vessels operating in the waters of Thanh Hoa area are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong gusts of wind and big waves.
