High School Graduation Exam 2025: Candidates excited about the Literature exam with strong current events

On the morning of June 26, candidates took the first exam of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam - Literature. At the end of the exam, many candidates commented that this year's exam was good and had a strong current content.

According to PNVN Newspaper at the Nguyen Van Huyen Secondary School (Hoai Duc, Hanoi ) exam site, the candidates finished the first exam in an excited mood. Most candidates, when asked, shared the opinion that this year's exam was quite good and did not pose a challenge to candidates. However, to do well on the exam, candidates will need more social knowledge and life experience.

Leaving the Nguyen Van Huyen Secondary School exam site in an excited mood, candidate Nguyen Thu Hai (Hoai Duc B High School) said that this year's exam was quite "easy" as the questions in the reading comprehension and writing sections were within her ability.

"I think this year's exam is within my ability as well as many other candidates. However, there are still questions in the exam that help classify candidates, such as question 5 in the reading comprehension section," said candidate Nguyen Thu Hai.

The test was also good, according to candidate Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (Hoai Duc A High School). "This year, Vietnam has many important events, so during the review process, I also focused a lot on information and events related to the country's development, patriotism and confidence to do well," Kim Chi said.

Besides, Kim Chi also said that if you look at it quickly, you will see that the test is long and candidates will not be able to handle it well in 120 minutes of doing the test, but the good point of the test is that the questions only focus on one aspect and when reading the test, candidates will only need to outline the main related ideas to be able to solve the test.

Candidate Kim Chi is confident with the Literature exam.

Like Thu Hai, candidate Kim Chi said that question 5 of the reading comprehension section was the most difficult question. However, this candidate said that it was not easy to get a high score on this test.

Candidates Thuan Anh and Nguyen Dinh Bang Anh (Hoai Duc B High School) also shared the same opinion that the 2025 Literature exam was quite good, candidates could give their own views on the issue. To do well on the Literature exam, candidates need to grasp social knowledge as well as have certain experiences in life.

"This year's exam questions are also different from those of previous years. In previous years, question 5 was a question asking you to write your thoughts on a certain content related to the passage in the reading comprehension section, but this year, question 5 was a comparison and contrast of similarities with another work, so I was somewhat confused," Thuan Anh shared.

On the afternoon of June 26, 2025, candidates will take the Math exam with a 90-minute test duration.
