On the afternoon of October 14, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) - Nguyen Thi Hong led a working delegation of Government members to work with the People's Committee of Vinh Long province on the situation of production and business, public investment, import and export, infrastructure construction, social housing, national target programs and the implementation of two-level local government.

Receiving the working delegation were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Ho Thi Hoang Yen; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi, along with leaders of provincial departments and branches, leaders of a number of banks, associations and business associations in the province.
Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong opened the working session on the situation of production and business, public investment, import and export, infrastructure construction, social housing, national target programs and the implementation of two-level local government; assessed the implementation of solutions to promote economic growth of over 8% in 2025 and double digits in the coming years in the province.
Thereby, the delegation will grasp the difficulties, obstacles and causes, recommendations of the industry and units; leadership, direction, urging, inspection, review, handling of difficulties, obstacles, bottlenecks in production and business, import and export, infrastructure construction, social housing, etc.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the first 9 months of the year, the socio-economic development situation has developed stably, with many good growth indicators. Disbursement of public investment capital reached 35.66% of the plan; 1,199 social housing units were completed, reaching nearly 50% of the assigned target. The implementation of the organization of 2-level local government was stable.
Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong assessed the results achieved by the province and agreed with the solutions proposed by the Provincial People's Committee. Thereby, she also acknowledged the difficulties, obstacles and recommendations of the province.
Recognizing that there will be many difficulties and challenges in the coming time, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong hopes that the province will strive to achieve the set targets, especially the economic growth rate of 8% this year. Thereby, she also requested relevant ministries and branches to grasp information and act as focal points to jointly resolve difficulties for the locality in the coming time.
