Samsung Vietnam donates 10 billion VND to support provinces in overcoming storm and flood consequences

BAC NINH - Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on October 14, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Samsung Vietnam donated 10 billion VND to support people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of floods. Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received the donation.

Of the funds donated by Samsung Vietnam, 5 billion VND will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to be distributed to provinces and cities; 5 billion VND will be given directly to the Fatherland Front Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces, each province will receive 2.5 billion VND.

Mr. Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, presented donations to the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Presenting the money to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam expressed his deepest sympathy when the two consecutive storms No. 10 and 11 caused much damage to the Vietnamese people. Hopefully, Samsung Vietnam's gifts will contribute to helping people quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, bringing life back to normal soon.

Mr. Na Ki Hong added that, along with this support amount, the factories are also launching support programs through many different forms to help the people of the provinces overcome the consequences of storms and floods. Samsung is committed to always accompanying Vietnam to share the difficulties of the people.

Receiving the donation from Samsung Vietnam, Comrade Do Van Chien expressed his emotions and sent his sincere thanks to Samsung Group for always accompanying and supporting the Vietnamese people when they encountered difficulties due to natural disasters and epidemics. He emphasized that this amount of money will be allocated promptly, publicly and transparently so that the people of the provinces have more resources to overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters.

Comrade Do Van Chien said that in recent days, to help people in the provinces overcome the consequences of storms and floods, the Party and State have allocated thousands of billions of VND to the provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.

Along with that, with the consent of the Politburo , the Secretariat, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a launching ceremony to support people affected by storms and floods. This amount will be allocated to localities to support families with housing, livelihoods and rebuilding their lives. The implementation process will be monitored to ensure that the funds reach the beneficiaries.

Comrade Do Van Chien hopes that in the coming time, Samsung Vietnam will continue to develop and have more resources to take care of the staff in the Group, and continue to accompany Vietnam in social security activities.
