Agree to establish the World Heritage Management Council of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago

Quang Ninh and Hai Phong will coordinate to establish the Management Council of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago.

On the afternoon of March 5, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and the People's Committee of Hai Phong city held a meeting to discuss and agree on the coordination of management, protection and promotion of the value of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago.

In recent times, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong have actively implemented contents, programs and plans to coordinate the management, protection and promotion of the value of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago. Thereby, contributing to promoting the active participation of local people, organizations and businesses in heritage protection, especially in ensuring security, order, environment and management of tourist boats. At the same time, increasing the attraction of tourists to the two localities owning the first inter-provincial and city world heritage in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh and Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong agreed to continue to direct the early completion of the contents requested by the World Heritage Committee regarding the conservation of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago.

The two localities will coordinate to establish a Management Council, complete the Coordination Regulations, the Regulations on management, protection and promotion of the values ​​of the World Heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago and the Management Plan of the World Heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago to submit to competent authorities for approval according to regulations.
