Of which, the output of aquaculture products in the third quarter of 2025 reached nearly 1.71 million tons, up 5.5% over the same period last year. In the first 9 months of 2025, the output of aquaculture products reached about 4.28 million tons, up 5.1% over the same period last year, including: fish reached nearly 2.8 million tons, up 4.8%; shrimp reached 998,800 tons, up 6.3%; other aquatic products reached 494,500 tons, up 4.6%.
For pangasius, the harvest output in the third quarter of 2025 will reach 469,300 tons, up 4.8% over the same period last year; in the first 9 months of 2025, it will reach about 1.34 million tons, up 4.6% over the same period last year. Pangasius output will increase thanks to the processing and export of high-value products in markets, and the selling price of pangasius in the third quarter of 2025 will increase, ensuring profits for farmers.
Whiteleg shrimp output in the third quarter of 2025 reached 352,800 tons, up 6.9% over the same period last year; black tiger shrimp output reached 87,200 tons, up 3.5%. In the first 9 months of 2025, whiteleg shrimp output reached 719,700 tons, up 7.1% over the same period last year; black tiger shrimp output reached 212,300 tons, up 3.5%. Shrimp output increased over the same period last year thanks to the industrial farming model, super-intensive farming and effective application of high technology.
Regarding the country's exploited aquatic products in the third quarter of 2025, it reached over 1 million tons, down 0.3% over the same period last year. In the first 9 months of 2025, the total exploited aquatic product output reached nearly 3 million tons, up 0.5% over the same period last year.
