Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation

On the afternoon of November 9, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Senior Lieutenant General Kurenkov Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

Welcoming Minister Kurenkov Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich and the delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation to visit Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam consistently attaches importance to its relations with Russia; remembers the wholehearted support and assistance that the Russian people have given Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as in the cause of national construction and development; and thanked Russia for always paying attention to creating conditions and ensuring security for the Vietnamese community to live, work and study stably in Russia.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam attaches importance to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation; considers Russia one of its top priority partners; and wishes to continue substantive and effective cooperation with Russia in all fields, for the common interests of the two peoples, for peace , stability and development in the region and the world.

The Prime Minister and the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation were pleased to see that the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries continue to be strengthened with high trust, high-level contacts and delegation exchanges are actively carried out.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that in the coming time, the two sides continue to increase delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones, and effectively implement existing cooperation mechanisms, especially the Intergovernmental Committee mechanism, to remove bottlenecks in cooperation in the spirit of harmonizing interests and sharing difficulties.

The two sides need to continue promoting the effective implementation of the results of the Intergovernmental Committee meeting; promoting the upgrading of the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement; promoting investment, focusing on developing new projects; researching and building specific plans to soon reopen direct flights between the two capitals.

Thanking the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive the delegation, Minister Kurenkov Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich informed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of the good results of the talks between him and Minister of Public Security To Lam that morning. Accordingly, the two sides will continue to strengthen close cooperation in various fields, especially in fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue; warning and overcoming emergency situations; training and coaching of officials; exchange of scientific documents, transfer of technology, means and technical equipment for fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue; contributing to fostering the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to become increasingly practical and effective.

Appreciating the results of the talks between the two Ministers, the Prime Minister suggested that the Russian Federation's Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam increase delegation exchanges at all levels to promote deeper and more effective cooperation, and at the same time, share more experience in warning and preventing emergency situations.

The two sides established a Joint Research Group to coordinate and share information; complete the system of legal documents and databases on fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and relief; strengthen cooperation in the field of digital transformation; apply visual teaching aids of 4.0 technology to serve the training of fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and relief officers.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation provides documents and exchanges experience on techniques, technology, and means of building the Vietnam Center for Early Warning of Fires and Natural Disasters; introduces fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and relief equipment; shares and transfers technology and technical equipment for fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and relief work; continues to support the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the field of training and coaching of officers; sends experts to Vietnam to teach, train, and provide advanced training on fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and relief work, focusing on training in complex and specialized contents.

On this occasion, through Minister Kurenkov Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his best regards to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation said that Russia always attaches importance to traditional relations with Vietnam; wishes to promote relations with Vietnam in all fields; Russian people are looking forward to the resumption of flights between the two countries to strengthen cooperation in investment, trade, people-to-people exchange, tourism, etc.; affirmed that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation will coordinate with Vietnamese ministries and branches to implement cooperation fields as requested by the Prime Minister.
