Thua Thien - Hue: Betting line transacted 3.5 million USD in one month

On January 2, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien - Hue Province Police announced that it had successfully broken up a gambling ring in the form of online soccer betting, arresting 9 suspects involved.

This ring is led by Hoang Anh Luan (30 years old, residing in Huong Tra town); and related suspects include: Tran Cong Tho (36 years old), Duong Minh Tam (38 years old), Do Duy Binh (39 years old), Le Huu Dung (30 years old), Phan Minh Loc (36 years old, all residing in Phong Dien district), Nguyen Tho (43 years old), Tran Quang Thai (47 years old, all residing in Huong Tra town) and Do Duy Chuong (32 years old, residing in Hue city, all residing in Thua Thien - Hue).

Previously, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien - Hue Province Police discovered that Tran Cong Tho used an agent-level soccer betting account to log into the website **bong88.***, then divided it into 8 member-level accounts and assigned it to many subordinates to conduct soccer betting on websites of the system named bong88.

During the investigation, the police identified the person who provided the account to Tho as Hoang Anh Luan.

During the investigation, Luan confessed to managing a super football betting account with a limit of 1.4 million USD (1 USD is equivalent to 13,000 - 50,000 VND), equivalent to about 18.2 - 70 billion VND. Luan then granted accounts to his subordinates to organize football betting.

During the investigation, Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police determined that in 1 month, the total amount of transactions on the football account led by Hoang Anh Luan was more than 3.5 million USD, equivalent to more than 176 billion VND.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien - Hue Province Police has arrested 9 suspects and many exhibits, and continues to investigate the case.
