At the meeting, representatives of the New South Wales Police Department, Australia shared information about the scale, competition content and organization of APES Games 2026.
Accordingly, APES Games 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 10-17, 2026 in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. This is a sports playground for police forces and emergency services in the region, with more than 70 diverse competitions, from traditional to new events such as axe throwing, Aqua Blitz, Cornhole...
The event not only promotes health and friendship but also creates opportunities for law enforcement forces from different countries to exchange, learn and strengthen connections.

Meanwhile, following the impressive achievement of 25 medals at the 2025 World Police and Firefighter Games in Birmingham (Alabama, USA), the Vietnam Police Sports Association plans to send athletes to participate in an APES Games for the first time in 2026.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of the participation of the Vietnamese People's Public Security athletes, and considered expanding cooperation in training, sports exchanges and sharing of experience in organizing international events.

In addition, the meeting exchanged and shared useful information to strengthen and promote cooperation between the Vietnam Police Sports Association and the police forces of other countries. Thereby contributing to ensuring security and order, fighting transnational crimes, and maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.

In addition to preparing for the competition, the meeting also studied the feasibility of Vietnam becoming the host country in the next Games. This is a strategic step to improve the capacity to organize international sporting events, while creating opportunities to promote the image of Vietnamese police officers and soldiers as brave, disciplined, elite, modern and friendly, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's reputation in the eyes of international friends.
