Every Saturday and Sunday, Vu Trang Anh, class 7C, Thang Quan Secondary School, Yen Son commune, goes to the National Children's Hospital in Hanoi for treatment.

In the level 4 house, in Tram An residential group where Anh's family lives, she is the eldest child, with 2 younger siblings. Her family is in a particularly difficult situation. Because of the need to make a living, her father went to work far away from home when she was young, and her mother worked as a factory worker near home to take care of the children. But most of Anh's living expenses and tuition fees depend on her grandmother, Do Thi Hien.

Mrs. Hien said in tears: “At the end of April 2025, my grandson showed signs of fatigue, both eyes were swollen, his face was swollen, and he had to urinate frequently. I took him to Tuyen Quang Provincial General Hospital for examination, then he was transferred to Hanoi National Children's Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with lupus erythematosus with complications, fluid in the lungs, liver and kidney damage. He had to be intensively treated at the hospital for more than a month and then returned home. Every month, my grandson had to go to the hospital for examination 2-3 times to monitor the treatment regimen.

Since my niece was hospitalized, the family has been in more trouble. I have had to run around everywhere to find money to pay for the hospital fees. Her mother has an unstable job, and her younger sibling is still too young. I feel sorry for my niece, who cannot live fully in her father's love, and now has to live in the torment of illness. As a grandmother, I don't know where to turn when I am old and have no money . I just wish that if I could change my niece's illness to mine so that she could be healthy, I would be willing to do so.

"I don't want to be sick anymore, it hurts so much, I'm so tired. My friends get to play and study, but I have to stay home from school and go to the hospital all the time," Vu Trang Anh cried out in sadness as she told us.
