Poor and low-income workers receive Tet gifts

Workers in difficult circumstances and with low incomes will be visited by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, given gifts of up to 1.3 million VND/person and many valuable rewards on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

As planned, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will visit, give gifts, and wish a happy new year to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and with low incomes.

Union members and workers in difficult circumstances will receive money and gifts worth 1.3 million VND from the Union on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.

Specifically, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requires that Tet care activities be mainly carried out at grassroots unions, focusing on union members and workers who are directly involved in production. Topic: activities to care for union members and workers during Tet.

Accordingly, the General Confederation will organize delegations to visit, give gifts, and wish a happy new year to union members and workers at enterprises, industrial parks, export processing zones, etc. at enterprises and units with outstanding production and business results, many workers in difficult circumstances, low income, heavily affected by natural disasters, remote areas, arduous, toxic, dangerous occupations, etc. The estimated expenditure is 1.3 million VND/person (including 1 million VND in cash and 300,000 VND in kind gifts). The expenditure will be from the regular operating fund at the General Confederation level.

At the same time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program directly and online; organize buses, trains, and flights to take workers home to celebrate Tet.

The plan also guides Tet care activities of provincial and municipal labor federations, central industry unions, economic group unions, and general corporation unions under the General Confederation.

At the grassroots level, the grassroots trade union will organize a Tet reunion program; visit and give Tet gifts to union members and workers ; organize buses, trains and flights to take workers home to celebrate Tet.

In particular, this year there will be a new point in that the Union will organize a "Union Year-end Dinner" for the Year of the Horse 2026 with a value of 70,000 VND/meal from the Union's financial resources, plus support from businesses, local authorities or socialization (if any, with no value limit); organize activities to celebrate Spring, welcome Tet, visit and encourage union members and workers who do not have the conditions to return home to celebrate Tet.

The grassroots trade union, based on the situation of union members and workers staying at enterprises and localities and not returning home for Tet, organizes warm and joyful activities bearing the Union's mark. In cases where many union members and workers do not return home for Tet, organizes the program "Tet not far from home" or other suitable activities; pays attention to visiting, giving gifts, and organizing Tet for workers in boarding houses or on construction sites and projects...
