Reporting on the results of science , technology, innovation and digital transformation development work at the Navy, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dinh Hung, Deputy Commander of the Navy, said: In recent times, the Navy has seriously implemented Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 3488-NQ/QUTW and implementing documents of the Ministry of National Defense. Thereby, the awareness of the importance of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of agencies and units in the Navy has been raised, the thinking of consulting, managing and implementing scientific and technological tasks has had many positive and clear changes.

The Navy has developed 3 circulars on national standards in the defense sector and directed 3 specialized research groups in key areas: Research on automated navigation control systems, hydroacoustic technology, and research on specialized materials. The computer network infrastructure connecting the Navy's military data transmission line has been deployed to the Navy's Command Headquarters and 100% of its subordinate level 2 agencies and units; effectively exploiting specialized software and databases.

After listening to opinions, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh praised the efforts and remarkable results in science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation of the Navy in recent times.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense requested that in the coming time, the Navy continue to thoroughly grasp and concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 3488-NQ/QUTW. Focus on researching and upgrading existing weapons to ensure modern operations, while researching and designing and manufacturing new weapons.

Focus on building specialized research groups that reach national and regional levels in strategic technology fields to serve the research, design, and manufacture of weapons and equipment. There must be clear and specific plans, roadmaps, results, evaluation criteria, support and incentive mechanisms to create motivation and a favorable environment for scientific and technological research.

The Navy needs to focus on identifying and orienting specific products of strategic importance to equip the Navy to serve military and defense missions, to organize research or order research centers and defense industrial facilities to design and manufacture. Proactively approach and research the application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence in the development of technical weapons and equipment.

Along with that, focus on training, attracting and making use of high-quality human resources; have policies, regulations and rules to develop cadre resources commensurate with the potential of the Army. Proactively advise and propose to Steering Committee 3488 contents to promote the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the Army.
