According to information from the Hanoi Department of Transport, this unit has a plan to expand more taxi stops in 12 inner-city districts. The points established must ensure safety criteria, convenience for drivers and traffic participants, reduce traffic congestion, and be easily recognized and understood by people at the locations. After the expansion, Hanoi will strengthen the handling of vehicles that violate the law. Specifically, the Department of Transport will set up a hotline with the Traffic Police and Traffic Police to handle personal vehicles parked in taxi stops as well as on routes where parking is not allowed.
