
According to the report, in the first 9 months of 2025, the Department established working groups to visit the headquarters of 87 enterprises with import-export activities through the province, organized 13 conferences with 394 enterprises, and answered 238 opinions.
In particular, implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW (dated December 22, 2024) of the Politburo on science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation, from July 1, 2025, the Department will deploy the application of the product to look up information on import-export declarations online, anywhere, anytime, on any internet-connected device; contributing to supporting businesses to proactively grasp information on the progress of handling import-export declarations.
Thanks to the synchronous, creative and effective implementation of reform solutions, digital transformation, and accompanying businesses to support them, in the past 9 months, the Customs Branch of Region VIII has attracted 2,446 enterprises to participate in import and export through the area (an increase of 740 enterprises, equivalent to an increase of 43% compared to the same period in 2024), carried out customs procedures for nearly 158,000 declarations (an increase of 26% compared to the same period in 2024), the state budget revenue from import and export reached about 12,800 billion VND (reaching 72% of the assigned target).

At the conference, the Customs Branch of Region VIII listened to the difficulties and problems of the business community in the import-export process. Many businesses also gave advice and shared proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of coordination between customs and businesses. The discussion content focused on the model of "Digital Customs - Digital Enterprise" and solutions to help create a favorable, transparent and modern environment for import-export and logistics activities in the province to develop in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development, such as: Professional work, application of information technology, propaganda work, legal support; models and experiences in digital transformation, innovation in the field of logistics, import-export, supply chain; building appropriate policies and business environment to develop sustainable, professional private enterprises in the province, with competitiveness...


Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Quoc Hung, Head of the Customs Branch of Region VIII, affirmed: The Customs sector is focusing on reforming administrative procedures, reviewing and amending legal regulations on Customs to serve the construction of the model "Digital Customs - Smart Customs - Green Customs", ensuring modern customs management.
On the provincial side, Quang Ninh is urgently researching and building a Smart Border Gate model at Mong Cai International Border Gate. The recommendations and proposals at today's conference are an important source of practical data to help the Customs and relevant agencies have new perspectives and new solutions to strongly promote import-export activities, linking digital transformation with innovation and private economic development in the spirit of Resolution 57/NQ-TW and Resolution 68/NQ-TW of the Politburo.

Also within the framework of the conference, the Customs Branch of Region VIII signed and granted certificates of voluntary compliance with customs laws to 19 enterprises. Thereby, encouraging the business community to raise awareness of compliance and, together with the Customs agency, build a transparent and modern business environment, contributing significantly to the growth of turnover, budget revenue and enhancing the economic and trade position of the province.
