The feeling of many people when coming to the new headquarters of the 86th Command is that the space is spacious, airy, the infrastructure system is invested, built basically, properly, and is clean. The system of bulletin boards, billboards, slogans, trees, flower gardens, lawns... in the unit's campus is arranged scientifically and has high aesthetics. Inside the office and rest room at the unit, the equipment, utensils, and tools for daily life and work are arranged neatly and tidily, ensuring consistency in layout, specifications, and designs. All electrical and water equipment uses modern, environmentally friendly types.

The "bright, green, clean, beautiful" regular barracks contribute to improving the lives of soldiers at Center 286, Command 86.

Colonel Nguyen Huu Khoi, Head of the Barracks Department (Logistics-Technical Department, Command 86) said: According to the planning, the barracks of the Command and units ensure science, clear functional zoning, suitable for the weather conditions of each region, linking functional zoning to meet the requirements, training tasks, studying, practicing and living of the troops. The works take full advantage of favorable conditions, overcoming the disadvantages of nature, terrain and landscape. In addition, the management of the use of equipment is always well implemented, ensuring uniformity in specifications; regularly raising awareness of good maintenance and durable use of all officers and soldiers. 100% of the barracks have complete management records, electricity and water systems are operated safely, economically, without loss or waste. Since its establishment, the 86th Command has always received attention and care from the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense ; agencies and units of the entire army have helped stabilize the accommodation, living and working places of officers, employees, and soldiers, especially the work of receiving defense land, investing in building barracks, creating a solid foundation for the current and future development of the Command. Based on the defense land area assigned for management, the 86th Command quickly planned the overall layout of the barracks, submitted it to the competent authority for approval as a basis for establishing a project to build the basic construction of the barracks.

Along with the investment of superiors, in the past 5 years, agencies and units in Command 86 have mobilized more than 18,000 working days of soldiers to repair, renovate, and restore existing works, build and consolidate the landscape and environment of the barracks, especially in transporting materials, logistics and technical equipment to the new command headquarters. Command 86 has organized the planting of nearly 3,000 new trees and fruit trees of all kinds; completed the construction of youth works, outdoor sports areas, physical training grounds... creating a recreational space for soldiers after work. This contributes significantly to building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit; at the same time, improving and enhancing the working environment and quality of life of soldiers, helping officers and soldiers love and be more attached to the unit, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks.
