Receiving emergency aid to support people in three provinces affected by natural disasters

On October 8, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment issued two decisions No. 4156/QD-BNNMT and 4157/QD-BNNMT on receiving emergency international aid from Samaritan's Purse to support people in Lang Son, Ha Tinh and Tuyen Quang provinces to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and post-storm floods.

According to the decisions, Samaritan's Purse provided emergency relief goods to three localities, with a total of more than 3,000 gifts including essential supplies, food and drinking water.

In Ha Tinh , 1,500 households affected by storm No. 10 will receive packages of household and kitchen supplies, personal hygiene packages and food packages (blankets, mosquito nets, pots, pans, rice, cooking oil, milk, fish sauce, seasoning powder, etc.).

In Tuyen Quang , 800 households received similar support, including 100% new essential food and household items purchased domestically.

In Lang Son , Samaritan's Purse provided instant noodles, Lavie drinks and sausages to people in two heavily affected localities, Huu Lung and That Khe communes, with 4,000 boxes of instant noodles, 4,000 boxes of water and 4,000 boxes of sausages.

The governing body of the aid is the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the implementing unit is the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control. The People's Committees of Lang Son, Ha Tinh and Tuyen Quang provinces are assigned to organize the reception, transportation and distribution of goods to the right beneficiaries, ensuring publicity and transparency, and at the same time report the implementation results to the Ministry before December 30, 2025.

This international support demonstrates the spirit of humanitarian cooperation and sharing of the international community with the Vietnamese people in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, contributing to helping localities soon stabilize their lives and restore production after storms and floods.
