General Secretary To Lam and his wife are about to visit Finland.

(Dan Tri) - General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, will visit Finland from February 20 to 22, at the invitation of Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

This information was announced by Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang at a regular press conference on the afternoon of October 16.

According to Ms. Hang, the visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation took place at the invitation of Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

The visit took place from October 20 to 22.

Finland is a long-standing friendly partner of Vietnam. In terms of politics and diplomacy, the two sides regularly exchange delegations at all levels, closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations and within the framework of ASEAN and the EU.

Cooperation in the fields of economics, trade and investment between the two countries is developing. In other fields such as defense, security, education and training, agriculture, environment, culture and education, people-to-people exchange, tourism and local cooperation, Vietnam and Finland also have good relations.

It is expected that during the visit, General Secretary To Lam will have talks with senior Finnish leaders.
