Provincial Statistics Representative reports on the investigation situation

According to the report of Tay Ninh Provincial Statistics, on the morning of July 1, 2025, 96/96 communes and wards simultaneously organized the General Census. Propaganda work of all levels and sectors on many mass media helped people understand the purpose of the survey. Thereby creating favorable conditions for investigators in collecting information at households. Regarding the general progress, by the morning of July 23, 2025, the whole province reached 77.43%.

However, the investigation process encountered many difficulties, such as the large scale of the General Census, the complex nature, the wide scope of the investigation, and the involvement of many subjects; the work of perfecting the Commune Steering Committee was slower than expected; the new commune had not yet assigned statistical officers and civil servants to act as focal points for implementing the General Census.

In addition, the trained investigators are mainly hamlet and non-professional commune-level cadres. When this force is merged, they are transferred to other jobs and cannot continue to participate in the General Census; new investigators are not familiar with the area so they have to depend on the time of the guide,...

At the conference, leaders of some communes and wards with low census rates presented some difficulties in the implementation process and proposed solutions to overcome them; localities committed to completing the General Census on schedule by July 30, 2025.

In his concluding remarks, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh requested the Provincial Statistics Office to grasp the progress, difficulties and obstacles to guide localities to resolve them; coordinate with localities to promote propaganda work so that people can cooperate, helping the investigation work to be completed on schedule; ensure timely handling and answering questions of investigators during the investigation process; strengthen supervision and inspection on software, field inspection, promptly correct errors in the statistical process.

People's Committees of communes and wards that do not have a Steering Committee must quickly complete the Steering Committee to lead and direct the investigation work. For wards that do not have a Steering Committee, the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee will directly direct, and civil servants of the Economic - Infrastructure - Urban Department will perform permanent duties. For investigators, it is necessary to speed up the work of collecting information in the area, ensuring that by July 30, 100% of the workload is completed on schedule./.
