
The delegation offered incense and flowers to the Liberation News Agency Stele - where the first news bulletin of the Liberation News Agency was broadcast, marking the presence of the frontline agency in the resistance war against the US imperialists of Vietnam News Agency (now Vietnam News Agency) in the Southern battlefield. The delegates observed a moment of silence, remembering the heroic martyrs who devoted their entire youth, bravely fought so that "the electric wave never stops", contributing to glorifying the heroic tradition of Vietnam News Agency, heroically sacrificing for the independence, freedom of the nation, and the happiness of the people.
Reviewing the steadfast and indomitable tradition of the cadres, reporters and technicians of the Liberation News Agency, Mr. Phan Van Dong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director, Secretary of the Southern Region Journalists Association of the VNA Information Center said: To serve the announcement of the establishment of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam and meet the requirements of the new tasks of the revolution, the Propaganda Department of the Regional Party Committee assigned Mr. Do Van Ba, former head of the Southern Branch of the Vietnam News Agency, to prepare personnel and technical means for the birth of the Liberation News Agency.

After only a short preparation time, at 7:00 p.m. on October 12, 1960, at Chang Riec forest ( Tay Ninh ), the Liberation News Agency broadcast the first news bulletin via a 15-watt transmitter, starting a glorious information mission, contributing to promptly conveying the just struggle of the army and people of the South to the people of the whole country and international friends.
During more than 15 years of fighting and growing, with the slogan “The electric wave never stops”, Liberation News Agency has always been a pioneer on the information front, constantly improving technology, overcoming difficulties, ensuring a smooth flow of information on the battlefield. Many reporters and technicians have heroically sacrificed to keep the revolutionary information flow uninterrupted, contributing to the great victory of the nation.
Promoting the glorious tradition of the Liberation News Agency and VNA, the team of journalists at the VNA Information Center in the Southern region has constantly strived and innovated, continuing the revolutionary information flow. The permanent offices and representative offices maintain dozens of total volumes of domestic and foreign information every day, contributing to affirming the position and prestige of VNA at home and abroad. Over the past 65 years, the history of the Liberation News Agency has always been a source of pride, a symbol of the mettle, intelligence and aspiration to contribute of the journalists of the Vietnam News Agency today.

Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Quoc Giao, Deputy Head of Tan Nam International Border Gate Border Guard Station, expressed his honor to participate in the meaningful activity on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Liberation News Agency, sharing about the advantages and difficulties of officers and soldiers performing their duties on the border.
Over the past time, officers and soldiers have always strived to overcome difficulties, excellently completed assigned tasks, affirmed their core role in managing and protecting territorial sovereignty , national border security, and building great national unity. Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Quoc Giao hopes that in the coming time, Vietnam News Agency and Tan Nam International Border Guard Station will have many activities towards the border, taking care of policy families and children in difficult circumstances, contributing to stabilizing social security in the southwestern border area.
Promoting the tradition of “remembering the source of water”, officers and soldiers of Tan Nam International Border Gate Border Guard Station are always closely attached to the people, actively participating in preserving and taking care of historical relics, especially the Liberation News Agency Monument - the place marking the birth of the frontline news agency in the resistance war against America.

Also at the Liberation News Agency Monument area, the Southern Vietnam News Agency Journalists Association organized a ceremony to award the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Journalism" Medal to 14 members who have made many contributions to the country's journalism. Honored to receive the Medal, journalist Hoang Van Ngoan, Head of the Special Topics and Management of Resident Agencies - Southern Vietnam News Agency Information Center, shared: This is a great honor, recognizing the process of striving and dedication of himself under the common roof of Vietnam News Agency. The Medal is not only a personal reward but also a motivation for generations of VNA cadres, reporters and editors to continue to make efforts, maintain the spirit of a News Agency journalist, contribute with colleagues to spread the flow of official and humane information, serving the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The VNA journalists will continue to promote a sense of responsibility, constantly learn and innovate reporting methods, improve the quality of specialized information and the management of the network of resident agencies, contributing to building the VNA Information Center in the Southern region to become increasingly stronger.
