Total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue increased by 8.7%

According to statistics for the first 7 months of this year, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at more than 3,625 trillion VND, up 8.7% over the same period last year.

According to the report of the General Statistics Office, the total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue nationwide at current prices in July 2024 is estimated at 528.3 trillion VND, up 9.4% over the same period last year.

Of which, food and foodstuff group increased by 12.1%; household appliances, tools and equipment increased by 5.3%; garment increased by 6.9%; accommodation and catering services increased by 13.9%; and tourism and travel increased by 6.8%.

In the first 7 months of 2024, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue at current prices are estimated at VND 3,625.7 trillion, up 8.7% over the same period last year.

Retail sales of goods in the first seven months of this year are estimated at VND2,801 trillion, accounting for 77.3% of the total and up 7.4% over the same period last year.

Of which, food and foodstuff group increased by 10.7%; household appliances, tools and equipment increased by 11.1%; garment increased by 9.1%; means of transport (excluding cars) increased by 3.4%; cultural and educational items increased by 11.2%.

Revenue from accommodation and food services in the first seven months of this year is estimated at VND419.2 trillion, accounting for 11.6% of the total and increasing by 15.2% over the same period last year.

Tourism revenue in the first 7 months of 2024 is estimated at 35.2 trillion VND, accounting for 1.0% of the total and increasing by 31.8% over the same period last year.
