Bac Ninh aims for 100% of industrial parks and clusters to have high-speed fiber optic infrastructure

DNVN - That is one of the contents set out in Plan No. 86/KH-UBND of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province on deploying 5G and IoT network infrastructure in industrial parks and clusters in the province by 2030.

Bac Ninh focuses on improving the digital technology integration environment, aiming for a smart industrial park and cluster model.

The implementation plan aims to build and complete the ultra-high-speed, ultra-low-latency 5G network infrastructure and a centralized, synchronized IoT application platform in industrial parks and clusters, creating a premise for the province's comprehensive digital transformation process;

Support businesses, especially high-tech FDI enterprises, to apply 5G and IoT solutions to automate and optimize production processes, improve productivity and product quality;

At the same time, improve the environment by integrating digital technology into the management and operation of industrial parks and clusters, including environmental, energy, security monitoring, etc., towards a model of smart industrial parks and clusters.

By 2030, the whole province strives for 100% of industrial parks and clusters to have high-speed fiber optic infrastructure ready to connect 5G stations and IoT devices; 100% of operating industrial parks and clusters to have 5G coverage; 100% of industrial parks to have IoT systems to monitor the environment, and data to be connected online to management agencies.

To achieve the set goals, in the 2025 - 2026 period, the province prioritizes the construction and installation of 5G BTS stations and the deployment of a number of basic IoT applications in large industrial parks and clusters, striving to install 213 new 5G BTS stations, with a cumulative total of 265 stations by the end of 2026.

In the 2027-2030 period, the province will focus on expanding network infrastructure, installing 5G BTS stations and deploying a number of extensive IoT applications in the province's industrial parks and clusters; striving to install 936 new 5G BTS stations, with a cumulative total of 1,201 stations by the end of 2030.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to preside over and guide relevant departments, branches, units and enterprises to organize and implement the plan; coordinate and guide major network operators (Viettel, VNPT, MobiFone ) to develop a roadmap and specific plan to deploy 5G broadcasting stations in industrial parks and clusters.

Telecommunications businesses, based on the plan, annually develop a plan for 5G coverage in industrial parks and clusters; ensure the speed, latency and stability of the 5G network according to regulations and effective operating solutions that meet the needs of businesses; adjust and optimize the system based on feedback to improve performance and user experience.

Investors in industrial park and cluster infrastructure in the province are responsible for closely coordinating with telecommunications enterprises and relevant agencies and creating conditions for the deployment and sharing of infrastructure such as BTS stations, fiber optic lines, etc. in industrial parks and clusters.
