According to RT, President Trump has decided to cancel the scheduled meeting with President Putin in Budapest, saying he does not believe the negotiations will bring the desired results at this stage of the dialogue.
The White House boss made the announcement during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House on October 22, saying the planned summit in Hungary was "inappropriate".
"I felt like I wasn't going to get where I wanted to go, so I canceled the trip," Mr. Trump said.

Russia has not commented yet.
However, President Trump did not rule out the possibility of meeting Russian leader Putin later. "We will have a summit in the future," he added, without specifying the time and location of the meeting.
Plans for a summit between President Putin and President Trump were first announced last week, after the two leaders spoke by phone, although no specific date has been set.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier that the Russia-US summit needed to be conducted "seriously", stressing that the meeting between the two leaders "should not be wasted", as both presidents "are used to working to achieve results".
