Top 10 high schools in Ho Chi Minh City with the highest 10th grade benchmark scores in 2024

On the afternoon of July 3, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the benchmark scores for entering grade 10 of public high schools in 2024.

Nguyen Thuong Hien High School continued to have the highest score with 24.25 points. Next are 3 schools including: Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Tran Phu High School and Nguyen Huu Huan High School with the same standard score of 23.25.

Gia Dinh High School and University of Education Practice High School both got 23 points.

The remaining schools include: Le Quy Don High School, Mac Dinh Chi High School, Phu Nhuan High School, Nguyen Huu Cau High School, all with 22.5 points.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that successful candidates will submit their applications online at https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn from July 4 to before 5 p.m. on July 12. If students do not confirm their online application within the above time, they will be considered to have refused their admission rights.

From July 13 to July 16, high schools will report to the Department of Education and Training the number of confirmed applications and the need for additional enrollment.

From July 17 to July 31, high schools will receive applications directly from candidates who have confirmed their admission online.

In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City has 98,681 candidates registering for the 10th grade entrance exam, of which public high schools recruit more than 77,300 candidates.

The exam takes place on June 6-7 with three subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes) and Foreign Language (90 minutes). Candidates register for specialized classes and take the corresponding additional exam within 150 minutes.

The admission score is the total score of the three subjects Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate the regulations and not receive a failing score (0 points). After the results are announced, candidates are not allowed to change their wishes.
