Meeting with Veterans - Former armored tank soldiers

On the morning of September 28, in Vinh Hung commune (Phu Tho), the Association of Veterans - Former Soldiers (CCB-CQN) of the armored tank unit in the northern cluster of Vinh Tuong district (old) held a meeting on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the founding of the Corps (October 5, 1959 * October 5, 2025).

Performance at the meeting

At the meeting, the Association of War Veterans of Armored Vehicles reviewed together the 66-year journey of construction and growth.

On October 5, 1959, Brigade 202 - the first armored unit was established, playing an important role in the assault force of the Vietnamese army. After its establishment, Brigade 202 achieved many feats and outstanding achievements in the resistance war against the US and in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Among them, many outstanding young men were selected, enlisted, fought side by side, promoting the tradition of armored troops "once in battle, we must win", achieving many resounding feats, directly participating in fierce battles, typically: Ta May - Lang Vay battle, a key battle in the Route 9 - Khe Sanh Campaign in 1968, marking the participation of the Armored Forces of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam for the first time; Dak To - Tan Canh battle in 1972, a key battle, opening the Northern Central Highlands Campaign in 1972...

Representatives of Vinh Hung commune leaders presented flowers to congratulate the Association of War Veterans of Tank and Armored Corps.

Returning to normal life, the armored personnel carriers, regardless of their positions, always promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", actively participate in building the Party and government, educating the younger generation on traditions, building family happiness, solidarity, and building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich and developed.
