In the film, Tuan Hung and Ha Huong will play husband and wife, the daughter and son-in-law of Mrs. Nga Tu (played by People's Artist Thanh Hoa), the parents of Trang (played by Nang Mo).

Ha Huong brings a sharp, pragmatic look when playing Phuong Tu - a woman who causes many troubles in the family. Meanwhile, Tuan Hung plays Ta, a man in debt.
For the first time working together, Ha Huong and Tuan Hung had an interesting experience playing a married couple with daily conflicts. Both hope to bring new colors to the screen with a close and realistic story.

According to actress Ha Huong, playing Phuong Tu reminds her of her own role as “Nguyet Thao Mai” more than 20 years ago. She explains that Phuong Tu of the present or Nguyet of the past both carry many of the thoughts of Vietnamese women. Being a hypocrite is not a bad thing if placed in the right situation.
Ha Huong revealed that Phuong Tu has some similar roles to Nguyet, except that she is of a different age and has more experience, representing modern femininity, like an upgraded version of Nguyet Thao Mai. Therefore, she really likes this role.

For actor Tuan Hung, taking on a new role in "Don't Be Sad, Grandma" is a continuation of his relationship with movies after the male lead role in the TV series " For a Love" and an important supporting role in the movie "Dao, Pho and Piano" .

According to the revelation, Don't Be Sad, Grandma also has the participation of actors: Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, Quach Thu Phuong, People's Artist Bui Bai Binh
The movie is scheduled to premiere on December 12.
