Donating facilities and scholarships to Go Noi

(QNO) - On the morning of June 28, at the People's Committee of Dien Phong commune (Dien Ban town), the program "Giving facilities and scholarships to Go Noi" took place. Local leaders, benefactors, representatives of the community and students of three communes of Go Noi attended.

The program is organized by the People's Committee of Dien Phong commune in coordination with the Go Noi Fellow Countrymen Fund in Ho Chi Minh City, Doctor Truong Gia Tho Family Fund, Hope Fund,FPT Fund for the Community and Viantravel Fund. This is an annual activity that has been maintained continuously for the past 12 years, becoming a valuable spiritual support for many generations of students in the Go Noi countryside.

At the ceremony, 220 scholarships were awarded to poor but studious students, including 80 from Dien Phong, 70 from Dien Trung and 70 from Dien Quang.

In addition, this year's program also focuses on in-depth investment in educational infrastructure. Three electronic libraries, each worth 75 million VND, were given to Tran Hung Dao Primary School, Nguyen Trong Nghia Primary School and Phan Thanh Primary School. This is a gift sponsored by the Hope Fund and its partners, with the hope of helping local students access modern knowledge and fostering a spirit of self-study.

The program also donated 60 million VND to repair Pham Phu Thu High School (of which 30 million VND came from Hope Fund, 30 million VND came from Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc Trai), 20 million VND and 10 computers to Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School and 150 million VND to renovate the toilet system at 3 schools in Go Noi area. In addition, the Love Go Noi community contributed 10 million VND and a piano to the locality.
