Awarding more than 1,000 Luong Dinh Cua scholarships to students

On September 20, in Phu Loi ward, Can Tho city, Can Tho city's Association for Promoting Education coordinated with the Department of Education and localities to organize the 2025 Luong Dinh Cua "Learning Never Ends" Scholarship Award Ceremony for 177 students, university students, and representatives of studious families in the old Soc Trang province.

Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, awarded scholarships to the Valedictorian of High School Graduation and followed him to school.

Accordingly, the Can Tho City Association for the Promotion of Education has awarded scholarships to students who have recently passed the entrance exams to universities and colleges in the two wards of Phu Loi and Soc Trang (representing 1,011 students in the area of ​​the former Soc Trang province) who have overcome difficulties to study hard and achieved high academic results in the 2024-2025 school year; and awarded scholarships to 24 adults with exemplary learning spirit in the area. The total amount awarded this time is up to over 1.98 billion VND.

Of which, there are 761 scholarships for Encouragement of Learning (each worth from 1 - 1.5 million VND); 186 scholarships for Talents for excellent students at all levels and excellent students at the provincial level (each worth from 3 - 4 million VND) and students who passed the High School Graduation Exam with the highest score (worth 20 million VND/scholarship); 24 scholarships (each worth 2 million VND) for adults with exemplary learning spirit in the "Learning Family" in the old Soc Trang province and 40 scholarships for the "Helping Children Go to School" program worth 10 million VND/scholarship.

Leaders at all levels awarded scholarships to excellent students at all levels.

According to the representative of the Can Tho City Association for Promotion of Education, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Association for Promotion of Education at all levels of Soc Trang province (old) mobilized over 28 billion VND, organized and awarded 18,327 scholarships of all kinds to students with difficult circumstances who love to study and students with high achievements in provincial, regional and national exams....

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee affirmed that the scholarship is an honor not only for the education sector, but also contains profound humanitarian significance in the socialization of education, promoting learning, encouraging talents, creating motivation, encouraging the spirit of studiousness for students, studious families to overcome difficulties to study well, continue to encourage families and clans to study, actively join hands for the cause of educational development.
