The publication “Forever Twenty” is a diary of martyr Nguyen Van Thac consisting of about 240 handwritten pages, recorded from October 2, 1971 to early June 1972, from the time he joined the army until before going to the battlefield in Quang Tri .

First launched in 2005, the publication “Forever Twenty” has become a typical cultural and social event. The publication was awarded the Special Prize of the 1st Vietnam Book Award.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the publication “Forever Twenty”, a talk show about the publication was held, opening up a space for readers to look back on the journey of the diary that has touched millions of hearts over the past two decades.

Journalist Trung Nghia and writer Bui Tieu Quyen share with readers the stories behind the diary pages filled with emotions of young soldier Nguyen Van Thac written during night shifts, on the march, on trains, in the countryside of Bac Giang , Bac Ninh, Ha Tinh... Amidst the smoke of war, each line is still filled with love for life, youthful aspirations and the ideal of dedication to the Fatherland.

At the same time, the life and writing journey of soldier Nguyen Van Thac, along with the humanistic values, spirit of dedication and ideals of the young generation of Vietnam during the war expressed in the diary, were also discussed and exchanged by readers at this talk show.

Through that, each individual finds their own answer to the question: "If I don't come back - who will write the next lines for me?" that young soldier Nguyen Van Thac left for future generations.
