FIFA referee's controversial decision, Thanh Hoa unfairly lost victory

Thanh Hoa FC went through a series of 5 winless matches in all competitions. The Thanh team attacked right after the opening whistle. In the 7th minute, from a free kick by Dinh Viet Tu, Igor Silva scored a classy one-touch goal to open the score.

However, this match was not easy for the away team. Ho Chi Minh City FC retreated deep into their home field to defend.

The match became especially tense at the end of the first half. After Thanh Long fouled a Ho Chi Minh City player, coach Velizar Popov got upset and yelled at his student.

However, Mr. Le Vu Linh suddenly appeared and gave the Bulgarian coach a second yellow card. Mr. Linh faced a strong reaction from Thanh Hoa Club. This referee also sent off a member of the Thanh Hoa team's coaching staff.

In the second half, Manh Cuong scored the equalizer for Ho Chi Minh City from a controversial situation in the 56th minute. Huy Toan was offside when he passed the ball to Manh Cuong. Referee Le Vu Linh listened to advice from the VAR team for 10 minutes but still did not watch the situation himself but listened to advice from his colleagues.

After this goal, Ho Chi Minh City continued to defend and the referee caused controversy. From a pass from Viet Tu, a Thanh Hoa player broke through and passed the ball back to Ribamar. He was fouled by the opposing defender but Mr. Le Vu Linh said the Thanh Hoa player was offside. This was another controversial decision.

In the 75th minute, Ribamar hit the crossbar and the ball hit the ground into the goal but the referee did not recognize the goal. In the remaining minutes, each team scored 1 more goal and Thanh Hoa left Thong Nhat Stadium with 1 point.
