The book series entitled Modern Vietnamese Fairy Tales gathers more than 60 typical stories by nearly 20 authors over nearly a century of writing, from the 1940s to the present. From pioneering writers such as Khai Hung, Ngoc Giao, To Hoai, Nguyen Huy Tuong, Pham Ho, to contemporary authors writing for children such as Thy Hac, Vi Ho, Niem Loc, Ngo Quan Mien, Doan Minh Tuan, Xuan Quynh, Tran Hoai Duong, Nguyen Tri Cong, Tran Duc Tien, Nguyen Huong, Le Thi Kim Son...

According to Dr. Le Nhat Ky, a lecturer at Quy Nhon University and a member of the Vietnam Folklore Arts Association, the collection aims to affirm the position of modern fairy tales, a unique genre that inherits the spirit, structure and magic of folk tales, while also reflecting the life, soul and human values ​​of modern people.

Not only a spiritual gift for children, the book series is also considered a valuable resource for literary researchers, teachers and parents in studying and teaching Vietnamese children's literature.
