The National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province listened to the Provincial People's Committee report on the socio-economic situation.

On the afternoon of October 14, the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province held a working conference with local authorities before the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly to listen to a report on the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2025 and make proposals and recommendations to central agencies.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province Tran Thi Thanh Huong spoke at the conference.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Tran Thi Thanh Huong co-chaired the conference.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung spoke at the conference.

According to the People's Committee of An Giang province, the socio -economic development in the province in the first 9 months of 2025 has developed stably and achieved a good growth rate. The estimated growth rate is 7.85% over the same period in 2024. The estimated cumulative disbursement of capital from the beginning of the year to now is over VND 8,705 billion, reaching 40.86% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister, reaching 32.52% of the capital plan assigned by the province. Budget revenue in the first 9 months reached over VND 18,552 billion, reaching 73.77% of the estimate.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong spoke at the conference.

The Provincial People's Committee proposed that the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province propose that the Government issue guidelines on the implementation of Decree No. 49/2024/ND-CP, dated May 10, 2024 of the Government regulating grassroots information activities in accordance with the two-level local government; promptly issue a new Decree to replace Decree No. 18/2014/ND-CP, dated March 14, 2014 of the Government regulating the royalty regime in the field of press and publishing, with the aim of resolving shortcomings and promoting the exploitation of copyright in the field of press and publishing, especially for works using State budget funds.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province Ly Anh Thu spoke at the conference.

The People's Committee of An Giang province said that there are currently no new regulations on allowances for cadres, civil servants and public employees of commune-level administrative units from 2026 (position allowances, allowances for Party work, socio-political organizations, etc.). Therefore, localities do not have a basis to allocate the 2026 budget for these allowances. It is recommended that the Ministry of Home Affairs soon issue regulations and guidelines so that localities have a basis for implementation.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung proposed that the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province recommend the National Assembly and the Government to soon approve mechanisms and policies for Phu Quoc special economic zone; pay attention to investing in route N1 from Ha Tien to Chau Doc, building Tan Chau - Hong Ngu bridge; and regimes and policies for officials, especially at the commune level.

Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung acknowledged the opinions of National Assembly deputies on voters' petitions to direct all levels and sectors to resolve them in accordance with regulations.

Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province Tran Thi Thanh Huong acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of the People's Committee of An Giang province, departments and branches to propose at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.
