Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang worked with SK Group (Korea)

On the afternoon of October 14, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches had a working session with SK Group (Korea) to listen to the report on the proposal of the Specialized Industrial - Energy Cluster Project, aiming to integrate advanced energy infrastructure with logistics development, creating momentum for regional economic growth.

At the meeting, SK Group representatives proposed four cooperation initiatives, including: Strategic logistics cooperation, financial investment, technology transfer and clean energy development. According to SK Group representatives, the projects are designed to promote sustainable economic and industrial transformation in the locality, while contributing to enhancing Khanh Hoa's position as a strategic logistics center in the region.

SK Group also introduced research and ideas on energy pillars in Van Phong and LNG logistics (liquefied natural gas transportation services) in Ca Na; presented the advantages and challenges of energy and logistics in Khanh Hoa . From specific research, SK proposed to invest in energy projects in Ca Na; wished to participate in investing in small-scale green hydrogen modular reactors and implementing logistics projects, LNG logistics. In the long term, Ca Na Port will be developed into a large-scale transit port in the region and LNG logistics will be developed in Van Phong, making Van Phong an international transit port.

In addition, SK Group leaders also proposed specific solutions to develop projects at each stage; wishing to implement investment plans in Khanh Hoa in sync with the plans that SK signed with the Vietnamese Government . Group leaders also raised questions related to support and incentive policies for investment attraction sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang highly appreciated the spirit of cooperation and commitment to long-term investment of SK Group. Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang said that the province is reviewing and appraising the bidding documents for the LNG power project in Ca Na; after the bidding results are available, the province will have the next plan to implement the LNG power project or solutions to attract new LNG power projects in this area, including the project proposed by SK Group. In addition, Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang hopes that SK Group will soon survey and research investment in the Van Phong area; at the same time, he emphasized that the province will create the best conditions for the group to invest in Khanh Hoa...
