The group winner will directly qualify for the 2026 AFC U23 Championship finals, while the runner-up must be in the best group to qualify.

There is a coincidence: U.23 Vietnam is also in the same group as U.23 Singapore and U.23 Yemen in the 2024 U.23 Asian qualifiers. At Viet Tri Stadium, the young team led by coach Philippe Troussier defeated U.23 Yemen (1-0) and drew with U.23 Singapore (2-2) to take the top spot in the group.

To prepare for the U.23 Asian qualifiers, the young players will gather at the end of August, after the 3rd round of V-League 2025 - 2026 ends. The goal of U.23 Vietnam is to win a ticket to the final round.
