The People's Committee of Thuan Nam commune, Khanh Hoa province has just issued a document directing the strengthening of state management of measurement at markets and shops in the commune.

Accordingly, the Commune People's Committee requested the Market Management Team in the commune to build and install reference weighing stations according to Decree No. 55, dated May 16, 2024 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Consumer Protection; regularly check and remind business households in the market to conduct timely inspections for spring clock scales every 24 months and other common scales every 12 months; strictly comply with the operating and maintenance regime of scales according to the manufacturer's instructions; promptly detect and fix errors and damages of scales to avoid risks affecting the reputation of households and the business community trading at the market. Review and compile a list of business households using scales in trading activities at the market; develop a plan and coordinate with the Provincial Center for Standards, Metrology and Quality to inspect common scales for business households in the market.
