Two Russian T-72 tanks, estimated to be worth around $6 million in total, have now proven vulnerable to precision strikes by Ukrainian drone pilots. Photo: @224th Independent Assault Regiment.

The incident also shows that the increasing accessibility of FPV UAV systems, combined with the skills of Ukrainian pilots, is gradually eroding the value of traditional armored vehicles in modern warfare. Photo: @224th Independent Assault Regiment.

According to Ukrainian soldiers, the first target, a T-72BV tank, was destroyed almost immediately. Photo: @224th Independent Assault Regiment.

When the FPV drone penetrated this tank, all the ammunition on the T-72BV tank exploded, causing a catastrophic explosion that left the vehicle beyond repair. Photo: @224 Independent Assault Regiment.

A few days later, the unit continued to discover the second tank, a T-72B3M tank, moving without ammunition on the way back to base. Photo: @224 Independent Assault Regiment.

Since there were no shells on the T-72B3M tanks to trigger secondary explosions, the attack took a little longer to complete. Photo: @224th Independent Assault Regiment.

According to Ukrainian soldiers, in such cases, the most effective strategy is to attack important parts such as the gun barrel and the vehicle engine. Photo: @224th Independent Assault Regiment.

Although once the spearhead of Russia's attacks, armored convoys are now increasingly vulnerable to drone attacks, forcing Russian commanders to reconsider their maximum use on the battlefield. Photo: @224th Independent Assault Regiment.
