The trend of traveling by motorbike is becoming more and more popular among young people as a way to explore and assert themselves. Along with experiencing freedom and conquering nature, traveling by motorbike also requires high standards of safety and discipline.

The "backpacking" culture is only truly sustainable when young people know how to follow the necessary rules to make each trip a memorable journey instead of choosing
venture.

Challenging roads

Dong Nai has long been a favorite destination for young people who love to travel by motorbike. Without having to go too far, “backpackers” can easily find routes that meet all the elements: challenging driving skills, pristine natural landscapes and rare moments of peace after the hustle and bustle of city life.

In the “must-go” list of young people, Tri An Lake, Nam Cat Tien Forest, Mai Waterfall, Bau Nuoc Soi or Chua Chan Mountain, Ba Chong Rock, Bu Gia Map Forest always occupy the top position. In particular, Tri An Lake in the early morning leaves many unforgettable impressions.

On a large-displacement motorbike, young man Pham Quang Anh (residing in Tam Hiep ward) shared: “What I like most about “backpacking” in Dong Nai is that it only takes more than an hour of driving to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The road along Tri An lake in the early morning is really beautiful: one side is green forest, the other side is clear lake. Riding the motorbike is like recharging your energy.”

If Tri An Lake brings relaxation, Chua Chan Mountain in Xuan Loc Commune brings a sense of conquest. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dat (residing in Long Binh Ward) said: "The winding slopes force me to concentrate. But when I pass, looking down, I see the green fields stretching out, it is really exciting. I think "backpacking" is different in that: it is both a challenge for the driver and a way to enjoy the beautiful scenery."

Not only for those who love big displacement motorbikes, Dong Nai also has many gentler routes for groups of friends riding scooters or manual motorbikes. The rubber forests in Trang Bom or Long Thanh communes are ideal suggestions. In the season of changing leaves, the whole forest is dyed bright yellow, the carpet of leaves covers the ground, turning the journey into a romantic experience not unlike a scene in a movie.

The interesting point of backpacking trips in Dong Nai is the variety of options. Those who love to explore can try their hand at Nam Cat Tien forest, one of the largest remaining primeval forests in the South. Those who like to relax can stop at Mai waterfall, Bau Nuoc Soi to immerse themselves in the cool water. Each destination brings young people a different feeling, from excitement, curiosity to relaxation and peace.

From personal experiences, Mr. Lu Hoang Thong shows that “backpacking” is not only a game of speed but also a journey to train awareness, discipline and the ability to face challenges. It is the combination of passion and responsibility that makes his sharing become a “compass” for many young people before each trip.

Freedom comes with responsibility

Mr. Lu Hoang Thong is a Travel Motor Vlogger (content creator about "backpacking" by motorbike) loved by the community for his unique "solo camping" trips, marked by artistic photos.

Sharing his experience on a two-wheeled vehicle, Mr. Thong said: Dong Nai is always on the list of places he often visits.

“The road along Tri An Lake or through Nam Cat Tien Forest is challenging enough but also very inspiring for creativity. I choose to travel alone to fully enjoy the tranquility. However, to travel safely, especially when traveling solo, preparation must be thorough,” said Mr. Thong.

According to Mr. Thong, many young people who have just started "traveling" often underestimate the maintenance of their vehicles and protective equipment. This is the most important factor to protect themselves. "Motorbikes must have their brakes, tires, and lights checked. Personal equipment such as helmets, gloves, and protective armor are indispensable. In addition, you should have a first aid kit and skills to handle situations on the road. Freedom is only truly meaningful when it comes with responsibility and safety," Mr. Thong emphasized.

One thing that Mr. Thong always warns about is the weather. During the rainy season, many red dirt roads in Bu Gia Map or Dinh Quan communes become slippery, which can easily cause accidents. Therefore, backpackers should prioritize traveling in the dry season or plan carefully.

"Dong Nai is most beautiful on sunny days, when the lake, forest and mountain scenery reveals all its charm" - Mr. Lu Hoang Thong added.

Not only providing technical advice, Mr. Lu Hoang Thong also strongly inspires the community of backpackers. He affirmed: “Backpacking is freedom, but that freedom is only sustainable when accompanied by professional preparation. A safe journey can bring a complete experience, helping young people find courage and love for nature.”
