Cultural playgrounds have become a fulcrum, contributing to improving the quality of life of workers and connecting the community.
Many healthy playgrounds
In the exciting atmosphere to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 and towards the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels for the term 2025-2030, the Trade Union of New Apparel Far Eastern Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), Dong Phu commune, Dong Nai province has just organized the 4th "FENV Cup" Volleyball Tournament for workers. This year's tournament gathered 13 men's and women's teams with more than 300 fans from the company's departments and workshops.

Nguyen Thi Mai Chi said: This is not only a healthy sports playground but also an opportunity to strengthen solidarity, exchange and learn, improve health and cultural and spiritual life for union members and employees of the whole company. With the spirit of solidarity, the athletes contributed beautiful plays, bringing a joyful atmosphere to the collective of employees of the whole factory.
Cultural and sports movements and competitions organized by the Trade Union of Dong Nai Viet Vinh Shoes Company Limited (Binh Minh Commune, Dong Nai Province) have become familiar playgrounds to help employees relax and exercise after work.
Worker Ha Thi Hai, one of the regular union members participating in the movement at Dong Nai Viet Vinh Shoe Company Ltd., said: In recent years, she has registered to participate in the cross-country race organized by the Trade Union and feels very happy and excited. Here, she can relieve stress and have the opportunity to meet and interact with colleagues in other departments.
“The exciting competition atmosphere, the spirit of solidarity and the enthusiastic support of everyone give me more motivation and a more positive spirit in my work. I hope that the company will maintain and develop more meaningful activities to strengthen the connection between employees” - Ms. Hai shared.

Meet the entertainment needs of workers
In fact, with the characteristic of long working hours, workers have little opportunity to participate in recreational activities. Many people are far from home, living in a collective environment in cramped boarding houses, making their spiritual life even more deprived. Therefore, organizing cultural playgrounds such as: sports festivals, art performances, mobile film screenings, life skills classes... has brought a new breeze to help workers relax, express themselves and connect with the community.

Chairman of the Trade Union of Jason Furniture Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Dong Xoai III Industrial Park, Binh Phuoc Ward) Duong Hoang An said: With the company having more than 6,000 employees, the entertainment needs of workers are very large. Understanding the wishes of workers, every year the Trade Union organizes a variety of competitions for workers to participate in. Typical examples are the Jason Golden Challenge - Companionship of Intelligence; Writing an essay about the Union, the company and football tournaments, flower arrangement on holidays. After each competition, workers have energy and motivation to work more positively and effectively.
“Cultural playgrounds not only help workers relieve stress and improve their spiritual life, but also create an environment for them to develop soft skills, raise awareness of the law, protect their health and protect the environment. Thereby, workers love their work more, are more attached to the company and contribute positively to the common development” - Mr. Duong Hoang An shared.
At Elma Industrial Co., Ltd. (Vietnam, Nhon Trach Commune), although there are more than 200 workers, the sports movements organized by the Trade Union always attract enthusiastic participation from workers. The President of the Trade Union of Elma Industrial Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) Vo Thi Xuan Hang said: Cultural life is one of the important factors contributing to improving the quality of life, creating motivation for work, retaining employees and building a healthy and united working environment. Caring for the cultural life of employees is also a factor promoting productivity and work efficiency.
In addition to organizing direct competitions, in the context of digital transformation, many playgrounds for employees are also organized online such as: photo contests, video clip contests, online legal knowledge contests..., contributing to expanding the scope of access and increasing interaction.
Recently, the Provincial Labor Federation launched a Photo Contest for beautiful labor among female workers and civil servants. Accordingly, each unit selected 10 best photos to send to the Provincial Labor Federation or on the Facebook page of the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation. It is worth noting that through the above online contest, union members and laborers participated enthusiastically, sending photos depicting the image of female workers working enthusiastically. Thereby, honoring the traditional beauty and diligence, enthusiasm in competing in labor and production of laborers.
Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation Bui Thi Bich Thuy said: The photo contest for female workers and civil servants is a new playground for female workers from units and enterprises to participate, showing their beauty at work, especially their diligence in work. Dong Nai Labor Union continues to organize the Ao Dai and Ao Ba Ba Fashion Contest. This is also a contest that promises to bring freshness and attraction to workers in Dong Nai.
With many good models in activities to care for the spiritual life from the province to the grassroots, it has contributed to making up for the lack of cultural playgrounds for workers in industrial zones. However, for cultural playgrounds to truly become a sustainable spiritual support for workers, it requires the cooperation of all levels of government, trade unions, enterprises and the whole society. Investing in the cultural life of workers is also investing in the sustainable development of the labor force and the province.
