"Returning to the roots" with traditional customs at the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival

With a variety of activities, Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 will bring the capital's children to dreams, magical stories, future aspirations, and the preservation of national cultural identity.

The 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival will be held from October 2 to October 5 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts (No. 2 Hoa Lu, Hai Ba Trung Ward, Hanoi ) with many exciting activities.

Accordingly, children will participate in making traditional handicraft products and Mid-Autumn toys. In particular, artisans from craft villages will introduce and guide children in making traditional toys from simple materials but containing the passion and effort of artisans with a deep love for folk culture such as: pottery, knitting, printing folk paintings - color painting, hand-woven strings, making scented wax, making lanterns on Do paper, drawing bamboo dragonflies, molding clay figurines, making moon cakes...

In addition, children are trained to perform with suitable circus arts such as: riding a unicycle; balancing on rollers, balls, bamboo ladders; stilts, juggling, hula hooping; artistic balloons...; participating in sports and physical games such as performing, riding a balance bike, organizing mini racing tournaments, experiencing, competing in chess, performing lion dances...; having fun with outdoor exercise equipment such as bouncy houses, trampolines, sand pools...

In addition, the organizers also displayed special "check-in" spaces such as the "Book Pages with Childhood" exhibition area, displaying and introducing good book pages, guiding children to love reading and books.

In particular, the “check-in” area is decorated in a folk style, imbued with identity with traditional Mid-Autumn toys (lion heads, papier-mâché masks, paper doctors, lanterns, frog drums, cotton swans, fruit trays... colorful) that will bring children many emotions about childhood and origin.

The organizing committee representative said that they also created an automatic photo booth with themed settings such as "Ms. Hang's Fashion Shop," "Mr. Cuoi's Grocery Store," "Secrets of Mid-Autumn Festival"...; organized competitions and exhibitions of children's paintings with the theme "Mid-Autumn Festival in My Eyes," a contest and exhibition of digital paintings with the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival, a fashion design competition with the theme "Designing costumes for Ms. Hang and Mr. Cuoi to attend the festival," a competition to display five-fruit trays to welcome the Moon... Activities with the participation of young artists who are art students;

Notably, the organizers also bring rich art programs such as: Circus, puppetry, variety, comedy shows; special music and dance for children; music and dance programs - children's fashion; organizing a masquerade festival (children transform into Cuoi, Hang)... are colorful and interesting activities, helping children to be creative, explore and express their rich imagination.

The highlight of the event is the Mid-Autumn Festival - street parade, lantern procession, lion dance, moon-watching feast help to make the festival atmosphere more exciting, attract the attention and interest of children, contributing to creating a unique feature for the Mid-Autumn Festival season.

With a variety of activities, Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 will bring children to dreams, magical stories, future aspirations, and the preservation of national cultural identity.

This is not only an opportunity for adults to show their care for children, an opportunity for reunion, but also a playground that brings joy and happiness, so that children have the opportunity to learn about the traditional customs of the nation.
