On the morning of October 14, the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened. Attending the Congress were General Secretary To Lam; President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; along with members of the Politburo , members of the Party Central Committee, leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers and 546 delegates representing more than 366,000 party members in the entire City Party Committee.

Continuing the 50th Session, on the morning of October 14, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Law on Planning (amended) and the adjustment of the National Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

The Hanoi Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh (Shark Binh) - Chairman of NextTech Group - and 9 others for "fraudulent appropriation of property" and "violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences".
