[Video] Vietnam participates in building a strategic vision for ASEAN sports

Vietnam hosted the 16th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Sports (SOMS 16) and the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports (AMMS) 8 and related meetings for the first time. Taking place from October 13 to 17, the conference brought together more than 200 heads of sports agencies from ASEAN countries and Timor Leste, Japan and China.

Hosting AMMS 8 and related conferences demonstrates Vietnam's responsibility in the ASEAN sports cooperation mechanism, and is also an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam's country, people and sports, contributing to strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and working towards a united and sustainably developed ASEAN community.

The strategic vision of ASEAN sports in the next five years will focus on developing key core sports, Olympic and ASIAD sports, as well as for a healthy ASEAN community.
