Long-term vision for sustainable development
In the first 9 months of 2025, Lam Dong's economy continued to grow by 6.8%, in which industry achieved the set scenario, affirming its leading role in economic recovery after a period of fluctuations.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the province has 15 industrial parks and 67 industrial clusters, attracting 227 investment projects, including 47 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than VND25,000 billion and USD454 million. Infrastructure is invested synchronously in electricity, water, transportation and logistics, creating a foundation to attract large-scale, high-tech projects, increasing the occupancy rate. The province's key industrial parks (IPs) are being accelerated. In particular, Ham Kiem II IP is being built synchronously, with a 31-hectare worker housing area with more than 5,500 apartments, demonstrating the orientation of industrial development associated with social security.
According to the industrial development plan until 2030, Lam Dong will develop in 3 major advantageous regions, linked to terrain conditions, resources, infrastructure and human resources. The goal is to exploit the characteristics of each region to the maximum, form a reasonable industrial structure, and closely link between regions.
Specifically, the central region of Lam Dong is oriented to be a center for processing agricultural and forestry products, medicinal herbs, food and biological materials, associated with high-tech agriculture . This region has abundant raw materials, a highly skilled workforce, a convenient transportation system and strong research facilities such as the Nuclear Research Institute, the Lam Dong Center for Science and Technology Application. This is the foundation for forming a biological industrial chain and deep processing of agricultural products, increasing the value of agricultural goods.
The Southeast region of the province develops the energy industry and titanium and seafood processing, because this is the area with the strongest solar radiation and wind in the country, favorable for solar power, wind power, and pumped storage hydropower. The Son My Power Center with a capacity of 4,500 MW and other wind power projects will contribute to the formation of a large-scale renewable energy industrial cluster, aiming towards energy self-sufficiency, reducing carbon emissions and creating development momentum for the whole region.
The western region of the province continues to be the center of the mining and non-ferrous metallurgy industry, thanks to possessing the largest bauxite resource in Vietnam and the bauxite - aluminum - aluminum complex system of Nhan Co and Tan Rai. This is an area with a favorable connection location with Binh Thuan, suitable for developing the metallurgical, mechanical and new materials industry, aiming at deep processing, increasing export value.
Industrial development by advantageous regions helps to reasonably allocate resources, take advantage of specific natural and social conditions, create chain links between raw material regions, production regions and export regions, and at the same time avoid the situation of scattered investment and overlapping industries. This is a long-term strategic direction, ensuring effective, sustainable and balanced industrial development between localities.

Well-planned - attracting high-quality investment
Based on the planning of advantageous regions, Lam Dong is synchronously implementing solutions to complete infrastructure, improve the investment environment, train human resources, enhance state management capacity and public services with the motto "4 goods": good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies, good public services.
This is a practical and strategic approach, aiming at a transparent, attractive and long-term stable investment environment. Along with that, the province focuses on attracting clean, high-tech industrial projects, using energy efficiently, and orienting the development of ecological industrial parks - smart industrial parks.
Lam Dong also promotes strategic investment, targeting large corporations in the fields of deep processing, mechanical engineering, electronic components and renewable energy, creating a connected industrial value chain, spreading regional economic benefits.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai, industrial development according to advantageous regions is a step to exploit the maximum potential of each locality. Lam Dong implements the "4 good" motto to create a favorable investment environment, accompanying businesses in sustainable development. The goal is to form a green, modern industry, harmonizing development and environmental protection, with people as the center and businesses as the driving force.
With the right orientation, clear planning and the decisive participation of the entire political system, Lam Dong industry is transforming strongly, gradually affirming its position as a pillar in the province's economic growth.
The complementary linkage between the three industrial zones not only helps optimize resources, but also creates a balance between urban - agricultural - energy development, contributing to improving the competitiveness of the whole region.
