Vietnam - Laos strengthen cooperation in all fields

On behalf of all staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam sent his warmest greetings and best wishes to Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane and the leaders, officials and civil servants of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs . On this important occasion, the Ambassador respectfully presented a flower basket and a congratulatory letter from Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, to Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam expressed his joy at the great, comprehensive and historic achievements that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved, including the very important contributions of the Lao Foreign Affairs sector over the past 80 years of formation and development.

The Ambassador expressed his firm belief that, promoting the glorious tradition that has been achieved, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the administration of the Government, and the supervision of the National Assembly, the Lao diplomatic sector will continue to gain even greater new achievements, contributing to enhancing the position and prestige of the Lao Party and State in the international and regional arenas, and successfully building a peaceful , independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam expressed his pride in the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos that is increasingly developing, going into depth, substance and effectiveness, in which there are very important contributions from the diplomatic sectors of the two countries; at the same time, he emphasized that the two sides will continue to closely coordinate, share information and experience, support each other at international and regional forums; effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the two Foreign Ministries, the Action Program on Economic Diplomacy, as well as other cooperation mechanisms and plans between the two Foreign Ministries to promote cooperation between the two countries in all fields, contributing to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to grow more and more.

Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane thanked the Ambassador and the delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy for coming to congratulate on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Lao Diplomacy Day; and sincerely thanked Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, for sending the flower basket and congratulatory letter; affirming that this demonstrates the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam as well as the relationship between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

The Lao Foreign Minister affirmed that he will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos to effectively implement high-level agreements; promote the effective implementation of strategic cooperation projects and cooperation plans between the two countries, actively promote cooperation on all channels, strengthen cooperation between relevant ministries, branches and localities, for the practical benefits of the people of the two countries, and make practical contributions to the cause of construction and development in Laos and Vietnam.

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane and Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam discussed a number of issues related to the cooperative relationship between the two Parties and two countries.
