
Regarding the data security incident that has caused concern for many customers, according to Vietnam Airlines, some personal information of customers such as full name, email, and phone number was leaked due to a data security incident from the partner's online care platform.
Immediately after receiving the warning, Vietnam Airlines promptly coordinated with authorities, cybersecurity experts and technology partners to investigate the incident, assess the scope of impact and strengthen data protection measures.
The airline representative confirmed that, up to now, sensitive data such as credit cards, payment information, passwords, itineraries, passports and Lotusmiles account balances of customers are still securely protected. Vietnam Airlines' internal information technology systems are not affected.
