Vinmec has the second hospital joining the Cleveland Clinic Connected system.

With two hospitals joining the world's top healthcare system, Vinmec continues to affirm its international strategy to bring global treatment quality and standards right in Vietnam.

Vinmec Central Park officially becomes a member of the world's top healthcare system Cleveland Clinic Connected.

Cleveland Clinic is one of the largest nonprofit academic health systems in the world and is ranked among the top in terms of quality of care. Cleveland Clinic operates 23 hospitals and more than 276 outpatient facilities worldwide. For many years, the system has been honored in the list of “America’s Best Hospitals” by US News & World Report and ranked in the list of “World’s Best Hospitals 2023” by Newsweek.

With the goal of building a network of hospitals and medical organizations that share a common vision of the best quality of treatment and care for patients, Cleveland Clinic has initiated the Cleveland Clinic Connected System to meet the urgent need to improve the quality of the medical industry around the world, especially after the pandemic.

Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, spoke at the signing ceremony on the afternoon of May 21.

To join Cleveland Clinic Connected, member hospitals worldwide must adhere to the program's core principles of patient safety, quality of care, continuous improvement, and patient experience. The Cleveland Clinic delegation also directly assessed the implementation at Vinmec Central Park, interviewed each member of the hospital's leadership, and had independent discussions with physicians, nurses, and patients.

After joining, experts from Cleveland Clinic and Vinmec Central Park will collaborate in key specialties such as oncology, cardiology, neurology, etc. to evaluate current operations and consult on how to apply operational and professional processes according to Cleveland Clinic standards. At the same time, experts will jointly implement initiatives to bring excellent healthcare services to local customers.

Before Vinmec Central Park, Vinmec Times City became the second hospital in the world to join Cleveland Clinic Connected from January 2023. After more than a year of cooperation, Vinmec Times City recorded significant improvements in Safety, Quality and Patient Experience (SQPE) by applying Cleveland Clinic standard analysis and evaluation processes to help detect and resolve the root causes of quality and safety issues.

In particular, Vinmec's Cardiovascular Center and Sarcoma Center have the support of Cleveland Clinic experts in coordinating the application of international standards to bring high treatment efficiency right in Vietnam. Experts from both Vinmec and Cleveland Clinic constantly exchange expertise, update new techniques as well as discuss clinical cases. For difficult cases admitted to Vinmec, patients can be consulted by Cleveland Clinic experts to make an accurate diagnosis, thereby deciding on the most optimal treatment regimen.
