Recently, Vittori Motors - a US-based startup company has launched the hypercar Vittori Turbio. This is the company's first product, developed with a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the famous design company Pininfarina. This hypercar combines a 6.8-liter V12 hybrid engine with 1,100 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. However, the power is not the main story, but the fact that Pininfarina let AI participate in the design.
“AI played a key role in the early concept phase, allowing the team to quickly test hundreds of different design directions,” Pininfarina said. “From that foundation, we refined and transformed the ideas into finished cars that showcase the harmonious proportions and craftsmanship that Pininfarina has been known for for nearly a century.” Vittori's initial teaser campaign emphasized the "AI-assisted design" element, but this phrase disappeared from Pininfarina's official announcement, making car enthusiasts even more curious. Pininfarina, the icon of Italian car design, which has created timeless beauty for Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and many other brands, now lets AI help shape a supercar bearing its name, something many consider “heresy” in the world of mechanical innovation. According to Pininfarina, the Turbio is “based on Vittori’s original visual concept and developed in conjunction with the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina.” The Turbio has a unique style, but also has influences from Bugatti, Lamborghini and McLaren. The front end features a small grille reminiscent of Bugatti, with two large air intakes below the headlights.
The bodywork displays the typical language of a mid-engined supercar: large air intakes, a low roof, and a powerful rear end with four exhaust pipes and a completely new taillight cluster design. It is not yet clear whether the Turbio is built on its own platform or borrows an existing chassis. However, the car's dimensions, wheelbase and dry weight match those of the Lamborghini Revuelto, leading many to suspect a shared technical structure. The Turbio's power comes from a 6.8-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine made by Italtecnica, combined with an electric motor for a total output of 1,100 horsepower. The car can reach 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, with a maximum engine speed of nearly 9,000 rpm.
The cockpit is designed as impressively as the exterior, with a steering wheel with integrated control buttons, a vertical central screen, a semi-digital instrument cluster, ambient interior lighting, and a contrasting white - black - blue leather color scheme. Vittori has already started taking pre-orders, though no price or delivery date has been announced. Only 50 Turbios will be produced, aimed at collectors and speed enthusiasts. Pininfarina has been associated with the beauty of human creativity for nearly 100 years, and now it is experimenting with AI in its creation. If in the past, the art of car design was a blend of human emotions and skills, then with Turbio, the future may witness a new era: AI becomes a designer's partner, not just a tool.
