This year, daisies growers in Hanoi suffered heavy losses due to typhoon Yagi in September. In Nhat Tan village, Phu Thuong, there are still a few remaining areas of daisies - the flower that signals the coming of winter.

To make the plants bud early, Ms. Hai's family uses a method of incubating them with plastic bags, covering the flowers in the afternoon and removing them at night. The work is done manually continuously for 30-45 days.

Talking to Tien Phong reporter, Ms. Hai, the garden owner, said: "This year, my house has been built high so the Red River water cannot overflow, so we can still preserve it and apply off-season treatment measures."

Chrysanthemums bloom quickly and only last for 2-3 weeks, so gardeners harvest and sell them very quickly. This year, flowers are rare, so the price has doubled from last year, the purchase price at the garden is about 150,000 - 200,000 VND/big bunch.

This year, due to the small number of flowers and high demand, the nightingale gardens were sold out in the first week of November. "Hopefully next season there will be more flowers, and the fields will always be bustling with girls in long dresses coming to the garden to take photos," Ms. Hai shared.
