Duc Hue Commune supports people to prevent flood water

On October 21 and 22, in the face of rising water levels on the Vam Co Dong River, Duc Hue Commune, Tay Ninh Province mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers of the regular militia force along with motor vehicles to support people in preventing floodwaters and protecting their gardens.

Militia cut coconut, cajuput and eucalyptus trees to make stakes

Due to the influence of water flowing from upstream, the water level on Rach Kinh canal (Thanh Hoa hamlet, Duc Hue commune) increased rapidly, flooding about 5 hectares of lemon gardens of about 10 households. Immediately after receiving the news, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Commune People's Council Dao Ngoc Thanh and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Suon directly went to the scene to direct the response work.

Local authorities mobilized forces to support people in preventing floods.

According to the Commander of the Duc Hue Commune Military Command, Nguyen Nhat Linh, the militia and local people used cajuput, eucalyptus and coconut trees to drive stakes, combined with tarpaulins to cover the canal mouth to prevent water from overflowing. If not handled promptly, the remaining 20 hectares of lemon trees in the area could be severely damaged.

Previously, the Duc Hue Commune Party Committee issued an official dispatch requesting agencies, units, and affiliated Party cells and Party committees to proactively deploy measures to prevent and combat natural disasters according to the "4 on-site" motto, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property./.
