The current runner-up, Border Defense, is the first team to qualify for the semi-finals after two consecutive victories against Hanoi (3-0) and Long An (3-1). With a total of six wins since the start of the tournament, the gap that Border Defense created with the fourth-placed team, Ninh Binh, is eight points while there are only two rounds left in the second stage, so coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team have already qualified for the semi-finals.
