Construction of Da Lat railway line

(NLDO) - Lam Dong province leaders and Vietnam Railway Corporation want to build the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway to become the most beautiful railway line in Vietnam.

On the evening of December 24, at Da Lat Station (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province), Vietnam Railways Corporation officially launched the La Reine (Queen) train on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route.

Leaders of Lam Dong province and Vietnam Railway Corporation cut the ribbon to inaugurate the high-quality tourist train La Reine (Queen) on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route.

The launch of La Reine ship is part of the activities to celebrate the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, promising to become an attractive and new tourism product for visitors to Da Lat.

Attending the ceremony, Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Acting Secretary Nguyen Thai Hoc said that the locality will coordinate with the railway industry to gradually upgrade the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway line, creating a unique product to attract tourists to Da Lat - Lam Dong in the near future.

Mr. Dao Anh Tuan, General Director of the Railway Transport Company, said that the carriages of the ancient train are a harmonious combination of Indochinese and French styles in the poetic space of Da Lat City. The new carriages have both the classical beauty of Asia and the romantic, poetic beauty of Da Lat.

The train cars are decorated with paintings, images and check-in spaces in purple tones with the meaning of balance and harmony, symbolizing peace, harmony, love and connection, and the romance of the city of flowers.

Lam Dong province leaders and the Vietnam Railway industry hope to build the La Da Lat - Trai Mat tourist railway line into the most beautiful railway line in Vietnam.

The train is designed with 36 seats along both sides, especially on the train there are 12-seat VIP compartments, with luxurious and sophisticated seats. The VIP compartments are very suitable for family ticket buyers who want to have their own space. Passengers can enjoy artichoke tea, use free wifi and enjoy music performances on the train.

Vietnam Railways Corporation said that passengers buying group tickets of 10 or more people will receive a discount of 15% to 40% on the ticket price. The two pairs of night trains will be served with additional light meals. Ticket prices currently range from 80,000 to 170,000 VND/person/trip.
