114 rural land lots set a record for auction registration, cars filled the road

On the morning of September 25, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Nghi Phong commune (Nghi Loc district, Nghe An ), an auction of planned land was held in hamlet 1.

According to the plan, the auction officially started at 7:30 am but hundreds of people were present very early. It was noted that a long line of cars lined up in front of the Nghi Phong Commune People's Committee headquarters. The hall area was too crowded, many people had to use the hallway, car hoods to write documents and register for the auction.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Anh, Chairman of Nghi Phong Commune People's Committee, said: "This time, there will be 114 planned residential land lots in Hamlet 1 area to be auctioned. The land lots have an area of ​​180m2 and 220m2, starting price 9.4 million/m2, 10.8 million/m2. At the time of closing the documents, there were 1,600 sets of documents registered for land auction".

The auction, which will be conducted by secret ballot, will take place through lunch and is expected to last until 9 p.m. the same day.

According to the resolution on adjusting administrative boundaries, establishing wards and arranging commune-level administrative units in Vinh city approved by the People's Council of Nghe An province last June, together with Nghi Xuan, Phuc Tho, Nghi Thai communes, Nghi Phong commune of Nghi Loc district will be merged into Vinh city. According to the roadmap, the merger will be completed this year.

The merger into and becoming one of the city centers, as well as the large demand for land use, has caused land prices in Nghi Phong commune to increase recently.

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Anh, with 1,600 registered applications, this is the auction with the record number of applications in the commune and the most in Nghi Loc district up to this point.
